A Place To Sleep has completed our prototype “Phase One” unit. The Phase One unit will contain a Bedroom, a Dining Room and a Living Room.
We started with recycling! We will use very “Green”, sustainable, building methods and materials, including Solar and Wind Energy. Our Phase One units will be placed on a ”Campus” with 24 such units. There will be three “Bathroom/Kitchen” buildings (one “private, complete Bathroom” for every two units) with a small efficiency Kitchen. Also on site will be a large central kitchen/dining, laundry and meeting facility.
It is our intention to place the Campus’ around the city near work centers, transportation corridors and where other services can be delivered. We will also be looking to churches and other faith-based groups to partner with us in this program. The installed units will meet or exceed all applicable building codes and zoning requirements!
